MT Auto Clicker - macOS install & "can't be opened" guide
If MT Auto Clicker does not open after installing from DMG, macOS is usually blocking first launch for security. Use the steps below to allow it.
If the app won't open after install
If you see "MT Auto Clicker can't be opened" or "The application can't be opened" after installing from the DMG, macOS is blocking first launch because it was downloaded from the internet. This is normal and usually needs to be allowed once per install.
Use "Open" (No Terminal)
- Quit MT Auto Clicker if it's running (menu bar or Dock).
- In Finder, go to Applications (or where you installed it).
- Right-click (or Control-click) MT Auto Clicker.
- Click Open (do not double-click).
- If a dialog says the app is from the internet, click Open again.
- The app should start. After this, you can open it normally.
Remove Download Flag (Terminal)
- Open Terminal (Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal, or Spotlight).
- Run this command and press Return:
xattr -cr "/Applications/MT Auto Clicker.app"
If installed elsewhere, replace the quoted path. Example:
"/Users/YourName/Applications/MT Auto Clicker.app"
Then open MT Auto Clicker again from Dock or by double-clicking.
Why this happens
macOS adds a quarantine flag to internet downloads, which may block first launch until you explicitly allow the app.
- Fix 1 uses Right-click -> Open to trust the app.
- Fix 2 removes that quarantine flag directly.
- MT Auto Clicker is signed and notarized by Apple.
After the app opens - required permissions
- Accessibility: System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Accessibility.
- Screen Recording: System Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Screen Recording.
You can also open these from inside the app: Settings -> Permissions (macOS).

- Reinstall: remove from Applications, download the DMG again, drag to Applications, then Right-click -> Open.
- If app opens but features fail, check Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions.
